E-File Your Tax Return with RapidTax and Receive your Refund Within 21 Days!
In the past, the IRS released a refund cycle chart. This chart allowed tax filers to know exactly when they would receive their tax refund. Sounds helpful, right?
Unfortunately, the IRS no longer posts the refund cycle chart. Luckily, there are charts out there which give a pretty accurate prediction on when you’ll get your refund.
You may want to know how long it will take to receive your tax refund once you file your 2014 tax return. Luckily, we’ve provided a refund cycle chart below.
Keep in mind however, these dates are NOT definite. They are only expected dates, based off of previous year trends.
Track Your Refund on the IRS Site
Once your 2014 tax return is e-filed, you’ll be able to track your tax refund using the IRS “Where’s My Refund?” tool. The site will give you status update on the whereabouts of your tax refund after you’ve entered the following information;
- social security number
- filing status
- refund amount
You’ll also be happy to hear the RapidTax team is available to answer any refund or tax return questions you may have before, during or after filing your tax return!
Get Ready for the 2015 Tax Season
Tax Day (the IRS due date for 2014 tax returns) was April 15th. If you’d like to receive your refund sooner rather than later, it’s best to e-file your 2014 taxes as soon as possible with RapidTax!
So what are you waiting for? Create an account and get your 2014 Taxes out of the way today!

Hi Luis,
There is sometimes a delay with the IRS “Where’s My Refund” tool due to the high volume of returns to process. I suggest checking back daily until there is a status update.
The IRS accepted my return on the 21st. I have been checking the where’s my refund tool but it still stays that they accepted it and it is being processed. This has been over a week now…is there something wrong with my return because i am seeing all kinds of people say that they got messages saying there’s has been approved and mine isn’t yet???help!
Hi Amanda,
I suggest contacting your tax preparer or checking back to the Where’s my Refund IRS tool daily as it tends to have a bit of a delay with status updates.
Me and my husband did are tax on the 20 and got accepted on the 20 and still nothing
Hi Rozanne,
You should expect to see your refund by February 5th. I also suggest taking a look at the “Where’s my Refund” tool on the IRS website.
I looked on where’s my refund ,and it says it’s scheduled to be mailed Feb 3 2015 is that the day it’s in my mail box at home..
Hi Gina,
That is the estimated date that the IRS is mailing your refund.
Also said my check was mailed out on feb 3rd. But i have yet to recieve my check does anyone kno how long it takes
Hi Again Nene,
The IRS typically mails all refund checks via USPS unless otherwise specified.
I did mines on the 17 got accepted on the 20 still saying it has been received and is being processed.. What does this mean?
Hi Sandra,
There are three stages in the refund process:
1. Return received
2. Return approved
3. Refund sent
You are currently in Stage 1 of the process.
