Residents

Most residents – generally those who live in Maryland – have to file a tax return. As residents, the state of Maryland has the right to tax all of your income, no matter where it was earned.

You can search for the status of your refund online at the Alabama Department of Revenue website. Just follow this link and then click on the “Where’s My Refund?” link under the individuals section of Taxpayer Services.
